However, recently, Professor Bhatnagar began experiencing significant shortness of breath, which corresponded with a noticeable decrease in his overall activity levels. Seeking medical advice, he consulted his cardiologist who diagnosed him with aortic stenosis and coronary artery disease.
To address these serious health concerns, in April 2022, Professor Bhatnagar underwent surgery at the hands of the skilled Prof. Dr. med. Martin Grapow and his adept medical team. The procedure included a biological aortic valve replacement, complemented by bypass surgery.
Following an impressively brief stay of just eight days at Hirslanden Klinik, Professor Bhatnagar relocated to Klinik Schloss Mammern to commence his postoperative rehabilitation program. His resilience during this period was evident, exemplifying his renowned strength and determination.
Outside his professional life, Professor Bhatnagar is a passionate golf player who enjoys a cosmopolitan lifestyle. He spends his winters in India with his wife, while they choose to reside in Switzerland during the summer months.
