Roland Beeler had been suffering from respiratory problems for a long time, mainly during sports activities. For this reason, he saw a heart specialist at the beginning of the Corona Lockdown. The cause of Mr. Beeler's complaints was identified during a detailed examination with the help of an ultrasound. Diagnostic imaging had shown that his heart valve was 95% obstructed due to calcium deposits. As a result, heart surgery was essential.
Prof. Dr. med. Alberto Weber from the HerzZentrum Hirslanden in Zurich took up the case and continued the treatment. As for many patients, the diagnosis and the associated heart surgery were psychologically stressful for Roland Beeler. It is not uncommon for such a procedure to cause anxiety in the patient. However, this is not conducive to recovery. Prof. Dr. med. Alberto Weber and the team at the HerzZentrums Hirslanden, therefore, took Mr. Beeler's concerns and fears very seriously. Medical care focuses on thorough education and patient care and the actual treatment of the heart.
Mr. Beeler was eventually able to overcome his fear and the operation was performed successfully. Following the procedure, he had to stay at the Heart Center for a few more days for monitoring. Prof. Dr. med. Alberto Weber checked the condition of his patient daily, who recovered quickly from the operation. Roland Beeler rates his treatment at the HerzZentrum as highly positive. Today, he is free of complaints and can play sports again without any worries.
